  • Day 1 Arrive Hanoi

    Be met and transferred to your hotel. Tonight, meet your APT Tour Director as you attenda Welcome Briefing and Dinner.
  • Day 2 Hanoi

    A morning tour of Hanoi will takeyou to the city’s most famous sites, including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square and The Temple of Literature. You’ll also take a cyclo ride through the city centre.
  • Day 3 Hanoi, Ha Long Bay

    Treasure the chance to sail among thousands of spectacular limestone islets this afternoon as you glide along the azure waters, enjoying lunch on the way to your first port of call. Drop anchor later at Ban Chan Beach where you can go for a swim or participate in water activities.
  • Day 4 Ha Long Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay

    Perhaps enjoy Tai Chi on the sun deck during a leisurely morning spent cruising. After lunch, sail towards Bai Tu Long Bay for an afternoon spent swimming or kayaking, then visit Thien Canh Son Cave.
  • Day 5 Ha Long Bay, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

    Take a kayak or traditional bamboo boat to explore Vung Vieng fishing village then disembark and transfer to the airport in Hanoi for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival, you’ll have the rest of the day to explore at your leisure. Your APT Tour Director can offer some great suggestions.
  • Day 6 Ho Chi Minh City, Long Tan OR Cu Chi Tunnels

  • Day 7 Ho Chi Minh City, My Tho, Embark Ship

    This evening, enjoy an exclusive Luke Nguyen signature dinner.
  • Day 8 Cai Be, Sa Dec

    Visit a rice paper manufacturer in Cai Be and learn how rice paper is made. Later, cruise to Sa Dec and visit a Cao Dai temple.
  • Day 9 Tan Chau, Evergreen Island, Border Crossing

    Transfer to a small boat for a journey along the tiny tributaries that snake around the riverside town of Tan Chau. Cruise right past a floating fish farm, then step ashore for a rickshaw tour of Tan Chau. Ride past shops, rice wine rooms and friendly locals eager to say hello. Later, step back in time during a visit to an evergreen island where you’ll experience authentic rural Mekong life. The remainder of today is then spent on board your luxurious river ship. This afternoon, perhaps take in a fruit-carving demonstration by one of the ship’s chefs while border formalities are carried out and you cross into Cambodia. Alternatively, watch daily life on the Mekong unfold, before enjoying a delicious dinner later this evening. After entering Cambodia, your ship will continue to cruise overnight towards the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh.
  • Day 10 Phnom Penh

  • Day 11 Phnom Penh, Koh Chen

    With a free morning, why not rise a little later and enjoy the facilities on board your ship. Or, head out to explore the city independently. Later, cruise to Koh Chen, a small village specialising in silverware and copperware. On a walk, visit the home workshops and pick up a souvenir.
  • Day 12 Prek K’dam, Oudong, Kampong Tralach

    Disembark in Prek K’dam and travel by coach to Oudong to visit the monastery for a Buddhist blessing experience. Continue to the Kampong Tralach region before an exciting ox cart ride takes you through rice fields and a small village to rejoin your ship.
  • Day 13 Kampong Chhnang

    Enjoy a relaxing excursion by boat into the beautiful wetlands near Kampong Chhnang. After some time cruising, reflect on the days that have just gone by as you indulge in a Farewell Dinner aboard your ship.
  • Day 14 Prek K’dam, Disembark Ship, Siem Reap

    Disembark your ship for the final time in Prek K’dam and be transferred to Siem Reap. Once there, head to the World Heritage-listed Angkor Archaeological Park to visit the capital of the Khmer Empire, Angkor Thom, and admire the Bayon temple.
  • Day 15 Siem Reap

    After sunrise, enjoy a guided tour of this impressive temple, the best-preserved temple of Angkor and said to be the world’s largest single religious monument. Return to your hotel for breakfast and some time at leisure. This afternoon, you’ll explore the intriguing temple of Ta Prohm, a World Heritage-listed site famous for its bewildering intertwined trees. Later, visit ‘Opportunities of Development thru Art’ (ODA), a Siem Reap organisation that provides education opportunities for disadvantaged children. A free evening then gives you the chance to dine wherever you wish.
  • Day 16 Siem Reap

    With the afternoon at leisure, perhaps step out to explore the city independently. Tonight, enjoy a traditional Apsara dance performance during your dinner.
  • Day 17 Siem Reap, Beijing

    Board your flight to China’s capital, Beijing. This evening, get to know your APT Tour Director and fellow travellers.
  • Day 18 Beijing

    Your sightseeing begins today with a tour of Tiananmen Square and the World Heritage-listed Forbidden City, the largest surviving palace complex on Earth. Following an afternoon at leisure, indulge in an authentic Peking Duck banquet for dinner.
  • Day 19 Beijing, Great Wall of China

    Today, set out for the Great Wall of China, which winds its way from the Yellow Sea up into the Gobi Desert for more than 6,000 kilometres. After a delicious lunch, travel back to Beijing and enjoy afternoon tea at your hotel. Following dinner at leisure, the choice is yours for the evenings activity.
  • Day 20 Beijing, Yichang, Embark Ship

    Set your sights on the World Heritage-listed Summer Palace, rebuilt by Emperor Guangxu for Empress Dowager Cixi following the destruction of the Old Summer Palace by French and British troops in 1860. Here you’ll find a variety of palaces, gardens and pavilions, as well as Longevity Hill and manmade Kunming Lake. This evening, board your flight to Yichang. On arrival, transfer to your luxury river ship and settle in for your Yangtze River cruise.
  • Day 21 Xiling Gorge, Three Gorges Dam

    Set off on your cruise along the Yangtze River through the Three Gorges region. Pass through the longest of the Three Gorges, Xiling Gorge, then take a tour of the Three Gorges Dam. This evening, indulge in the Captain’s Welcome Dinner, followed by an entertaining crew show.
  • Day 22 Shennong Stream, Wu Gorge, Qutang Gorge

    In Badong, transfer to a traditional sampan (longboat) and cruise through stunning scenery. Rejoin your ship and glide through the most scenic section of the river. See Wu Gorge and pass between two majestic cliffs on entry to Qutang Gorge.
  • Day 23 Fengdu or Relocation Tour

    Today, disembark for a tour of Fengdu, or take a ‘Relocation Tour’. Back on board, choose from four included activities. In the evening, enjoy the spectacular Emperor’s Farewell Dinner, a Chinese banquet feast. Embrace the spirit by dressing up in traditional Chinese costume.
  • Day 24 Chongqing, Disembark Ship, Xi’an

    Disembark your ship for the final time in Chongqing and head to the Chongqing Zoo, where more than 200 varieties of wild and rare animals are on display, including the endangered Giant Pandas. This beautiful creature is fast replacing the dragon as China’s emblem and has been kept in zoos for over two thousand years. Later, visit a local restaurant for a hotpot lunch before transferring to the airport for your flight to Xi’an.
  • Day 25 Xi’an, Terracotta Army

    Discover the attractions of Xi’an, one of the oldest cities in China. Visit the ancient city walls and a clay factory where terracotta soldiers are still made today. Then spend the afternoon at the Museum of Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses and the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum, with plenty of time to visit the three excavation pits where over 8,000 terracotta soldiers are arranged in vast columns.
  • Day 26 Xi’an, Shanghai

    Transfer to the airport and fly to Shanghai. On arrival, ride the high-speed Shanghai Maglev Train and watch the kilometres race towards an exhilarating 300.
  • Day 27 Shanghai

    Take a bus tour through the downtown area of Shanghai. This evening, enjoy premium seating at an acrobatic show.
  • Day 28 Shanghai

    This evening, attend a Farewell Dinner at The Cathay Room in The Fairmont Peace Hotel as you reflect on your journey.
  • Day 29 Depart Shanghai

    Transfer to the airport for your flight.
