Day By Day

  • Day 1 Arrive Hanoi

    On arrival in Hanoi, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel located in the heart of the city. Later this evening, you’ll get to know your fellow travellers and your local guide during a Welcome Dinner.

  • Day 2 Hanoi

    Spend this morning on your selected Freedom of Choice activity. Then, after a leisurely afternoon, enjoy the freedom to choose where to dine for dinner.

  • Day 3 Hanoi, Ha Long Bay

    Travel by coach to Ha Long and embark on your cruise. Enjoy lunch on board as you traverse through the stunning scenery of Ha Long Bay and watch as a myriad of unique islands seem to glide past your boat. Later, tour the World Heritage-listed Sung Sot Cave with its thousands of beautiful stalactites. Relax on board during dinner this evening and raise a glass to the beauty of Ha Long Bay.

  • Day 4 Ha Long Bay

    Perhaps enjoy tai chi on the sun deck during a morning spent cruising the bay. After breakfast, your ship will sail towards Bai Tu Long Bay, cruising past the floating villages of Cua Van and Vung Vieng before visiting Cong Dam fishing village by bamboo boat or kayak. After a traditional lunch on board, you will arrive at Cat Ba Island to visit the Cat Ba National Park and Viet Hai Village. Here, explore the sights of the island by bike.

  • Day 5 Ha Long Bay, Hanoi, Siem Reap

    This morning, cruise beside the Surprise Grotto and Titov Island. The stunning islands, a slow creation of humid weather and tectonic activity, are a beautiful sight to be greeted with. After breakfast, disembark and transfer to Hanoi airport for your included flight to Siem Reap.

  • Day 6 Siem Reap

    Head to World Heritage-listed Angkor Archaeological Park to visit the last and most enduring capital of the Khmer Empire, Angkor Thom, and the 12th-century temple of Bayon. This afternoon, you’ll explore the intriguing temple of Ta Prohm, with its stunning ruins, then visit ‘Opportunities of Development thru Art’ (ODA), a Siem Reap organisation that provides education opportunities for disadvantaged local children. This evening, take in an Apsara performance before you enjoy dinner.

  • Day 7 Siem Reap

    After your Signature Experience at Angkor Wat, embark on a guided tour of the temple and admire the ancient structures in the soft morning light, before breakfast back at your hotel. This afternoon, set out on your chosen Freedom of Choice sightseeing activity. This evening, select from a number of local restaurants for dinner.

  • Day 8 Siem Reap, Prek K’dam, Embark Ship

    Transfer by coach to Prek K’dam today to board your river ship for your eight-day luxury Mekong River cruise. Tonight, join fellow guests in the dining area for an exclusive Luke Nguyen Welcome Dinner.

  • Day 9 Kampong Chhnang, Oudong, Kampong Tralach

    Today brings you an authentic glimpse into the local way of life as you jump aboard a small boat and head into the wetlands near Kampong Chhnang. Known as the ‘Clay Pot Port’, the local people craft pottery under their stilt homes on the river. Here, watch out for water birds and traditional fishing traps near the riverbank. Afterwards, take a coach to Oudong, the fascinating royal capital of Cambodia from 1618 until 1866. Calling in on a local monastery, you are met by Buddhist monks before receiving a special blessing from them – an unforgettable experience. Afterwards, continue to the village of Kampong Tralach for a visit to the Wat Kampong Tralach Pleu pagoda. Then take an exciting ox cart ride through the countryside, passing lush rice fields and smiling locals on your way back to your ship. Discuss the day’s adventures over a delicious dinner on board.

  • Day 10 Koh Chen, Phnom Penh

    This morning, sail to the village of Koh Chen for a walk to visit the fine copperware workshops. Watch the craftsmanship and learn about the process. Later this afternoon, you are free to explore Cambodia’s buzzing capital, Phnom Penh. You might like to wander the streets and familiarise yourself with the city before returning to your luxurious river ship for dinner.

  • Day 11 Phnom Penh

    Step ashore in Phnom Penh this morning and perhaps enjoy a guided tour of the white and gold Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. Alternatively, take an excursion to the infamous Killing Fields, before visiting the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, located on the site of the Khmer Rouge’s notorious Security Prison 21 (S-21). Your other options are a visit to the Cambodian National Museum or a guided city tour on a tuk tuk.

  • Day 12 Phnom Penh, Border Crossing

    Enjoy your morning on board at leisure, as you cruise towards the Vietnamese border. This afternoon, you might like to take in a fruit-carving demonstration by one of the ship’s chefs while border formalities are carried out and you cross into Vietnam. Alternatively, sit back and watch daily life unfold on the riverbanks - gliding between the two countries can be a distinct experience in itself - before enjoying dinner later this evening. After entering Vietnam, your ship will continue to cruise overnight towards Tan Chau.

  • Day 13 Tan Chau, Evergreen Island

    Transfer to a small boat for a journey along the tiny tributaries that snake around Tan Chau. You’ll cruise past a floating fishing farm, then disembark for a rickshaw tour and a visit to a local silk and rattan weaving workshop. Later, visit an evergreen island and see authentic rural Mekong life.

  • Day 14 Sa Dec, Cai Be

    In the quaint town of Sa Dec, enjoy a small-boat ride past floating markets, then disembark to visit a Cao Dai temple. You’ll also enjoy a guided tour of Huynh Thuy Le’s old house and learn the story behind Marguerite Duras’ best-selling novel, The Lover. Then continue on to Cai Be. Step ashore to see its French Gothic cathedral, and explore its port area and delight in its colonial buildings and flower gardens. You’ll also visit a local rice paper manufacturer to learn how rice paper is made.

  • Day 15 Disembark Cruise, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Long Tan OR Cu Chi Tunnels

    Disembark at My Tho Port and continue to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Once a bustling French colonial city previously known as Saigon, today Ho Chi Minh City offers a myriad of attractions that display both its rich culture and fascinating history. Your first day in Ho Chi Minh City offers you the chance to choose from two Signature Experiences, during which you’ll learn about Vietnam’s recent past. Retire at the Park Hyatt Saigon after.

  • Day 16 Ho Chi Minh City

  • Day 17 Depart Ho Chi Minh City
