Day By Day

  • Day 1 Arrive Toronto

    On arrival in Toronto, be met and transferred to your hotel, located in the heart of the city.
  • Day 2 Toronto

    After a Welcome Breakfast, get to know Toronto on a tour that includes a trip up to the LookOut level of the CN Tower - an icon of the Toronto skyline and the tallest free-standing structure in the western hemisphere. Perhaps dedicate your free afternoon to further discoveries around busy Yonge-Dundas square, often referred to as Toronto's 'Times Square', or the lovely Harbourfront. Come together for dinner tonight.
  • Day 3 Toronto, Niagara Falls

    Leaving Toronto, the day takes you to Niagara-on-the-Lake where you'll have some free time to take in the tree-lined streets and restored homes in the charming town centre. Mighty Niagara Falls is your next stop, and on arrival you have the chance to take an optional helicopter flight over the area (own expense). Later, cruise out to the foot of Horseshoe Falls and feel the mist on your face as the great cascades tumble down right in front of you. This evening, dine overlooking Niagara Falls before an exclusive visit to the Illumination Tower, where you can create your very own light display on the thundering falls.
  • Day 4 Niagara Falls, 1,000 Islands, Ottawa

    Admire incredible views over Niagara Falls during breakfast on the top floor of your hotel. Then, set out alongside the shores of Lake Ontario. Stop for a cruise amid the 1,000 Islands which dot the waterways of Lake Ontario and the St Lawrence River on the Canada-USA border. During the cruise, you’ll glide past some remarkable riverside architecture including holiday cottages, castles and estates, all constructed on the densely vegetated islands. On return to land, continue by coach to Ottawa.
  • Day 5 Ottawa

    A city tour includes a visit to Parliament Hill, a National Historic Site that dominates the skyline. After, perhaps explore the Canadian Museum of History; embark on a culinary tour; or head out on a guided bicycle tour. Alternatively, take to the skies in a vintage open-cockpit biplane then visit the Canada Aviation and Space Museum.
  • Day 6 Ottawa, Mont Tremblant

    Explore Parc Oméga, home to a wide variety of animal species including deer and black bears. Continue on to Mont Tremblant for a gondola ride which will allow you to take in the amazing views. Tonight, choose which of your resort’s restaurants to enjoy dinner at.
  • Day 7 Mont Tremblant, Québec City

    Stop at a Sugar Shack for a tour and a Québécois lunch with live entertainment. Journey onwards to Québec City and discover its charm during a tour. Follow cobblestone lanes to the Petit Champlain district, a charming neighbourhood echoing that of a French riverside village. Wander along its oldest street, Rue du Petit-Champlain, and admire Place Royale. After some free time in the afternoon, make your way back to your hotel for dinner.
  • Day 8 Québec City

    This morning's Freedom of Choice options will introduce you to a different side of the city. You might like to take in the city sights on a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride or learn more about the city on a walking tour. Perhaps cruise on the St Lawrence River or take off on a culinary tour. Enjoy a free evening to further explore.
  • Day 9 Québec City, Montréal

    Soak up the sights of Montréal as you set out on a tour, getting right to the heart of the city. Stroll through the leafy Place d’Armes, step inside the Notre Dame Basilica and wander to the Kondiaronk lookout at Parc du Mont-Royal for panoramic city views. On your last night in Eastern Canada, enjoy dinner at a French restaurant in Old Montréal.
  • Day 10 Montréal, Victoria

    Your journey to Western Canada begins today as you transfer to the airport for your flight to Victoria (flight not included).
  • Day 11 Victoria, The Butchart Gardens

    Visit The Butchart Gardens before the crowds have arrived, and enjoy breakfast in the original Butchart family residence. Spend the afternoon on your chosen activity then enjoy a free evening in the city.
  • Day 12 Victoria, Georgia Strait, Whistler

    Lap up the scenery as you take the ferry across Georgia Strait. Then travel along the stunning Sea to Sky Highway to the alpine village of Whistler.
  • Day 13 Whistler, Sun Peaks

    Sit back and enjoy today's journey through the Cariboo region to the alpine village of Sun Peaks, Canada's second-largest ski area.
  • Day 14 Sun Peaks, Blue River, Mt Robson, Jasper

    At Blue River, enjoy a river safari, watching for grizzly and black bears. On your way to Jasper, stop at Mt Robson. Enjoy Freedom of Choice Dining tonight.
  • Day 15 Jasper, Athabasca Glacier, Lake Louise

    Relish the scenery along the Icefields Parkway and ride onto the Athabasca Glacier. Tonight, dine at one of the exceptional restaurants within your hotel.

    Go for a stroll with a Mountain Heritage Guide along Lake Louise, before visiting Moraine Lake. Tour Banff and ride the Banff Gondola. Later, Meet a Mountie. Tonight dine at one of your hotel's restaurants.
  • Day 17 Banff

    Today, you may like to participate in the Banff Experience; take to the skies on a heli-flightseeing trip; take to the waters of Bow River on a float trip or a canoe adventure; relax at the Willow Stream Spa; or cruise along Lake Minnewanka.
  • Day 18 Banff, Rocky Mountaineer, Kamloops

    Embark your Rocky Mountaineer rail journey. Along the way, enjoy views of the Rockies from the glass-domed GoldLeaf carriage.

    Back aboard the Rocky Mountaineer, take in the stunning landscapes as you journey through the Coastal Mountain Range and Fraser Canyon on the way to Vancouver.

    The beautiful attractions of Vancouver unravel before your eyes on an in-depth sightseeing tour this morning. Visit Stanley Park, a world-class, 400-hectare evergreen oasis located just steps away from downtown Vancouver. Then head over to Granville Island and wander amid the colourful public market before enjoying the rest of the day to explore at leisure.
  • Day 21 Vancouver, Embark Ship

    Travel back to Vancouver and transfer to your ship. This evening, enjoy a Sail Away Dinner at the elegant Sabatini’s.
  • Day 22 Cruising the Inside Passage

    Enjoy the view as your ship glides past rocky headlands and over the still blue waters of the Inside Passage during a full day at sea. Take advantage of the wide range of stylish public areas on your ship.
  • Day 23 Ketchikan

    A cheerful town set on the shores of the Tongass Narrows, Ketchikan and its surrounds present a range of attractions, including Misty Fjords National Monument - one of America’s largest wilderness areas, with glacial valleys where wildlife roam in abundance. Disembark and explore as you please.
  • Day 24 Tracy Arm, Juneau

    Cruise to the entrance of Tracy Arm, a narrow and twisting fjord. Later, arrive in Alaska’s capital, Juneau, set at the foot of mountain peaks on the Gastineau Channel. Explore at leisure or set off on one of the available excursions (own expense).
  • Day 25 Skagway

    Journey to Skagway, a former gateway for the gold rush, located at the northernmost point of the Inside Passage.
  • Day 26 Glacier Bay National Park

    Wake to the sight of World Heritage-listed Glacier Bay National Park with its rivers of ice and skyscraping peaks.
  • Day 27 College Fjord

    Relax and take in the scenery as you cruise through College Fjord, with its five stunning tidewater glaciers, five large valley glaciers and many smaller glaciers.
  • Day 28 Whittier, Disembark Ship, Talkeetna, Denali (Mt McKinley)

    Disembark in Whittier and board Princess Cruises’ exclusive Direct-to-the-Wilderness rail service. From Talkeetna, you'll journey all the way to your lodge which is located just south of pristine Denali National Park.
  • Day 29 Denali (Mt McKinley), Talkeetna

    During breakfast, enjoy views of the Alaska Range, Denali National Park and perhaps even Denali, formerly known as Mt McKinley. Today, you'll venture outdoors and explore on your chosen activity. You might select a jetboat tour for a thrilling ride along the Talkeetna River. Perhaps take a more leisurely option - a relaxing float trip down the Talkeetna River. Join a guide for an easy stroll around Byers Lake or take a ride in a horse-drawn wagon.
  • Day 30 Denali (Mt McKinley), Denali National Park

    Tour the Sun Dog Kennels and meet some of the endearing sled dogs, then continue to Denali National Park. Enjoy an evening of fun, festivity and Alaskan food at the Music of Denali Musical Theatre tonight. Performed in a rustic-style roadhouse, the musical show gives you a light-hearted overview of the first men to reach the summit of Denali.
  • Day 31 Denali National Park

    Embark on an exciting Tundra Wilderness Tour. Explore the beauty of Denali National Park as you spot moose, caribou, wolves and grizzly bears. Discover the extraordinary landscapes of the Alaskan tundra as you explore in the shadow of 'The Great One', the towering, snow-capped peak of Denali - North America's highest mountain.
  • Day 32 Denali National Park, Fairbanks

    Continue to Fairbanks, the 'Golden Heart City'. Board a sternwheeler and cruise the Chena River, travelling back to a time when riverboats filled the waterways of Alaska’s interior during the late 1800s.
  • Day 33 Fairbanks

    Take a trip back through Alaska's gold rush history as you travel along the Tanana Valley Railroad to Gold Dredge 8. See how the dredge worked the gold fields back in the early 1900s then pan for gold. Will you strike it lucky? Continue on to see the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Later this evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner with your fellow passengers.
  • Day 34 Depart Fairbanks

    Transfer to the airport in Fairbanks.
