Day 1 Arrive Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)
On arrival in one of the world’s most spectacular cities, Rio de Janeiro, transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 Rio de Janeiro
Travel to Corcovado, the mountain famous for its iconic statue of Christ the Redeemer. Visit the statue and stand on the platform at its peak for stunning views across the city. At sunset, ride a cable car to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain before heading to a local restaurant for a delicious Brazilian Barbecue.
Day 3 Rio de Janeiro
Enjoy rest of the day at leisure.
Day 4 Rio de Janeiro, Iguassu Falls (Brazil)
Board your flight to Iguassu Falls, an impressive series of waterfalls which straddle the borders of Argentina and Brazil. This afternoon walk to a viewing platform for a panoramic view of the falls.
Day 5 Iguassu Falls
Today we venture into the Argentinian side of the falls. Ride the Rainforest Ecological Train through the forest to a series of walkways and viewing points, including one directly over the 82 metre-deep Devil’s Throat.
Day 6 Iguassu Falls, Buenos Aires
Awake near the beautiful Iguassu Falls and enjoy breakfast at your hotel. This afternoon fly to the Argentinian capital of Buenos Aires. On arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 7 Buenos Aires
Enjoy a tour of Buenos Aires before visiting the city’s oldest barrio (district). Explore La Boca’s colourful houses and picturesque pedestrian street, the Caminito; drive along one of the widest avenues in the world, Avenida 9 de Julio; pass the parks, gardens and tree-lined streets of Palermo; and visit La Recoleta Cemetery. Later, enjoy dinner and an exciting tango show.
Day 8 Buenos Aires

Day 9 Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, Embark Antarctica Cruise
Transfer to the airport and board your included flight to Ushuaia. njoy a city sights tour before being transferred to your luxury expedition ship, Le Lyrial, and greeted by your Expedition Leader and a team of expert naturalist guides. Take some time to settle in before enjoying the Captain’s Welcome Dinner. Afterwards, head to the deck to take in the stunning scenery of the Beagle Channel.
Day 10 Drake Passage
Sail across the Drake Passage, where the Atlantic and Pacific oceans meet between Cape Horn and the South Shetland Islands. During this time, learn more about the adventures ahead as you participate in a range of informative, interactive and entertaining presentations on the wildlife, history and geology of Antarctica. These sessions will be delivered by your knowledgeable Expedition Team.
Day 11 Antarctic Peninsula
On arrival in Antarctica, your itinerary becomes flexible in order to maximise your discovery of this enchanting world of ice and water. Utilising the knowledge of your Expedition Team, your Captain will charter a course based on the most exciting sightseeing opportunities available and the most favourable ice and weather conditions. For the next six days, you’ll enjoy morning and afternoon Zodiac rides.
Day 12 Antarctic Peninsula
Experience some of the most unique wildlife viewing in the world as you’re taken to visit penguin rookeries and seal colonies. These chilly waters are often frequented by hunting orca and the breaching forms of humpback and minke whales, so be sure to keep an eye out. Although landing sites will vary depending on conditions, the route will feature the most scenic bays and channels, including the stunning Lemeire Channel and Neko Bay. Head to the shores of Deception Island, an active volcano surrounded by distinctive black sand. Once an old whaling station, you will see giant barrels and bleached whale bones here as well as impressive elephant seals lounging along the shore. You may even get the chance to stop at Port Lockroy, a scientific base currently studying gentoo penguins. Here, you can send a postcard with a rare Antarctic stamp.
Day 13 Antarctic Peninsula

Day 20 Buenos Aires, Lima
Today, travel to the airport for your flight to Lima, the starting point of your Peruvian discovery. Settle into your room, taking in the magnificent ocean views.

Day 22 Lima, Cusco, Chincheros, Sacred Valley
Fly to Cusco, the historic capital of the ancient Incan Empire. On arrival, travel by coach to Chincheros.

Day 24 Sacred Valley, Maras, Moray
Witness the dazzling sight of the Maras salt mines, where thousands of salt pools spill over the side of a steep terraced slope.
Day 25 Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu
