  • Day 1 Arrive Rio de Janeiro

    Arrive in one of the world’s most spectacular cities, Rio de Janeiro, transfer to your hotel.

  • Day 2 Rio de Janeiro

    Travel to Corcovado, the mountain famous for its iconic statue of Christ the Redeemer. Enjoy stunning views across the city. At sunset, ride a cable car to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain before heading to a local restaurant for a delicious Brazilian barbecue.

  • Day 3 Rio de Janeiro

    Today in Rio de Janeiro, enjoy a choice of sightseeing options.

  • Day 4 Rio de Janeiro, Iguazú Falls

    Fly to Iguazú Falls and visit a panoramic viewing platform.

  • Day 5 Iguazú Falls

    Today venture into the Argentinian side of the falls. Ride the Rainforest Ecological Train through the forest to a series of walkways and viewing points, including one directly over the 82 metre-deep Devil’s Throat.

  • Day 6 Iguazú Falls, Buenos Aires

    Get up close to a range of native South American birds at Parque das Aves Bird Park. Then fly to Buenos Aires and head for the Recoleta district, where your hotel awaits.

  • Day 7 Buenos Aires

    Enjoy a tour of Buenos Aires then visit the city’s oldest barrio.

  • Day 8 Buenos Aires

    This morning embark on your chosen activity.

  • Day 9 Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, Embark Antarctica Cruise

    Fly to Ushuaia and transfer to Le Lyrial. This evening, enjoy the Captain’s Welcome Dinner before cruising the Beagle Channel.

  • Day 10 Drake Passage

    Sail across the Drake Passage, where the Atlantic and Pacific oceans meet between Cape Horn and the South Shetland Islands. To cross the Drake Passage, making your way ever closer to the White Continent, is to achieve one of the great travel milestones. During this time, you’ll learn all about the adventures ahead as you participate in a range of informative, interactive and entertaining presentations on the wildlife, history and geology of Antarctica delivered by your expert Expedition Team.

  • Day 11 Antarctic Peninsula

    On arrival in Antarctica, your itinerary becomes flexible in order to maximise your discovery of this enchanting world of ice and water.

  • Day 12 Antarctic Peninsula

    Utilising the knowledge of your Expedition Team, your Captain will charter a course based on the most exciting sightseeing opportunities available and the most favourable ice and weather conditions.

  • Day 13 Antarctic Peninsula

    For the next seven days, you’ll enjoy morning and afternoon Zodiac rides. Experience some of the most unique wildlife viewing in the world as you’re taken to visit penguin rookeries and seal colonies.

  • Day 14 Antarctic Peninsula

    These chilly waters are often frequented by hunting orcas and the breaching forms of humpback and minke whales, so be sure to keep an eye out.

  • Day 15 Antarctic Peninsula

    Although landing sites will vary depending on conditions, the route will feature the most scenic bays and channels, including the stunning Lemeire Channel and Neko Bay.

  • Day 16 Antarctic Peninsula

    Head to the shores of Deception Island, an active volcano surrounded by distinctive black sand. Once an old whaling station, you will see giant barrels and bleached whale bones here as well as impressive elephant seals lounging along the shore.

  • Day 17 Antarctic Peninsula

    You may even get the chance to stop at Port Lockroy, a scientific base currently studying gentoo penguins. Here, you can send a postcard with a rare Antarctic stamp.

  • Day 18 Drake Passage

    The adventure, and the wildlife spotting, continues as you bid farewell to the beautiful waters surrounding the Antarctic Peninsula and return across the Drake Passage back towards the bustling Argentinian city of Ushuaia. Along the way, be sure to keep a keen eye out for the wildlife, including the many whales, dolphins, giant petrels and albatross that frequent these waters.

  • Day 19 Disembark Ship, Ushuaia, Fly to Buenos Aires

    Disembark your ship in Ushuaia. Then return to Buenos Aires for a final night at the Park Hyatt.

  • Day 20 Depart, Buenos Aires

    After breakfast be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
