  • Day 1 Arrive Berlin

    Be transferred to your hotel before getting to know your fellow travellers at a Welcome Reception later this evening.

  • Day 2 Berlin

    Explore Berlin on a guided tour today. Visit Brandenburg Gate and Alexanderplatz. See the Reichstag, Berlin’s historic parliamentary building, and the ruins of the infamous Berlin Wall. You’ll also visit Checkpoint Charlie, the former crossing point between East and West Germany, and the Checkpoint Charlie Museum.

  • Day 3 Berlin, Potsdam

    Take an excursion to Potsdam, once the residence of Prussian kings. Here, you’ll enjoy a tour of the former summer palace of Frederick the Great, Sanssouci. The largest World Heritage-listed site in Germany, the palace of Sanssouci is surrounded by extensive gardens and parklands, which are a delight to explore.

  • Day 4 Berlin, Dresden, Prague

    Travel to Dresden, the capital and royal residence for the Kings of Saxony. Once known as the ‘Florence of the North’, the city boasted cultural splendour before being destroyed by the controversial Allied aerial bombing during World War II. The impact of the bombing and 40 years of East German socialist influence has considerably changed the face of the city. Enjoy a walking tour here, then continue to Prague.

  • Day 5 Prague

    The capital of the Czech Republic lures you with its millennia-long history and rich Bohemian culture. Take a trip to Prague Castle, the largest coherent castle complex in the world, and visit Saint Vitus Cathedral. Afterwards, stroll over Charles Bridge on the way to the Old Town Square, where you’ll see the 600-year-old Astronomical Clock. Tonight, dinner awaits at the award-winning La Rotonde restaurant. Set in beautiful art deco style, dine in this exquisite setting.

  • Day 6 Prague

    Enjoy your visit to Chateau Jeminste.

  • Day 7 Prague, Velke Bilovice, Budapest, Embark Ship

    Travel to the historic town of Velke Bilovice, the largest grape-growing town in the Czech Republic. Here, savour a light lunch in a traditional wine cellar. Continue to Budapest and board your luxury river ship. After dinner, set off on a twilight cruise through the city and be enchanted by the lights of the remarkable Hungarian capital.

    Choose your sightseeing in Budapest.

  • Day 9 Vienna, A Royal Invitation

    Arrive in Vienna, Austria’s capital, home to striking architecture, a rich classical musical culture and vibrant cafes. Take in many of the city’s most important landmarks during a tour along the Ringstrasse, Vienna’s famous ring boulevard officially opened by Emperor Franz Joseph I in 1865. You’ll also enjoy a guided walk to St Stephen’s Cathedral.

  • Day 10 Vienna

    You have a choice of exciting activities to choose from on your second day in Vienna.

  • Day 11 Dürnstein, Melk

    Roam Durnstein’s cobblestone lanes at your leisure and perhaps view the ruins of the castle where Richard the Lionheart, the King of England, was ­imprisoned in 1192. On select autumn departures, perhaps participate in some vineyard work at a local winery as part of the wine harvest season. Later, choose your sightseeing in Melk.

  • Day 12 Linz, Salzburg, Passau

    Spend the day on the Majestic Imperator and exploring Salzburg. Later, rejoin your luxurious river ship and later, enjoy a sumptuous dinner.

  • Day 13 Regensburg

    Choose your sightseeing in Regensburg.

  • Day 14 Nuremberg

    Back on board after your sightseeing activity, sample some freshly baked gingerbread while cruising along the Main-Danube Canal.

  • Day 15 Bamberg

    This morning your ship will arrive in the fascinating World Heritage-listed city of Bamberg, another of the few German cities that wasn’t destroyed during World War II. Here you will explore the Old Town with a local expert to discover a range of historic churches and buildings, including the town hall on the River Regnitz.

  • Day 16 Würzburg

    The immense architectural beauty of Wurzburg is on show today.

  • Day 17 Miltenberg

    Witness the skilful art of glass-blowing on board as you cruise towards the pretty Franconian town of Miltenberg this morning, then choose your sightseeing.

  • Day 18 Rüdesheim, Andernach

    Dock in Rudesheim and choose your sightseeing. Later, your ship’s Sun Deck offers the perfect vantage point from which to view the scenery of the Rhine Gorge as you cruise the Rhine’s most beautiful stretch.

  • Day 19 Cologne

    Travel to the Gothic masterpiece of Cologne, a city centred around the twin spires of its famous cathedral.

  • Day 20 Amsterdam

    Today, sail into the beautiful Dutch capital, Amsterdam, and choose your sightseeing. Enjoy a Captain’s Farewell Dinner.

  • Day 21 Amsterdam, Disembark Ship, Ghent, Paris

    Travel by coach through Belgium. Arrive in Ghent and enjoy a light lunch while cruising along the city’s canals, before arriving in Paris.

  • Day 22 Paris

    A local expert will take you on a tour of this beautiful city today. See the Avenue des Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe, plus take a trip to the second level of the Eiffel Tower, where sweeping views over the city skyline await.

  • Day 23 Paris

    Today, select your sightseeing in Paris. With the rest of the day at leisure you’ll relish the chance to explore this city as you wish.

  • Day 24 Depart Paris

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
